LOCAL AUTHORS TALK: We Got Published, So Can You!

02/08/2012 7:30 pm

Featuring Marcia Heinegg, Karen Mehringer and Cooper Gallegos

Are you a wannabe author? Do you have an unpublished masterpiece in the closet? Come hear three local authors speak about their experiences writing their first book. Having first met in a writing class, tonight’s authors will now share the stage and speak about their books as well as their three different routes to publishing. Cooper Gallegos's book, The Waterhauler (Wasteland Press), is a work of fiction about wild and crazy characters in the Mojave Desert. Karen Mehringer's book, Sail Into Your Dreams: 8 Steps to Living a More Purposeful Life (Llewellyn Press), explores what truly matters in our lives. California to New Zealand the Long Way, a travel memoir by Marcia Heinegg, chronicles a young couple's trip around the world. This presentation will stir your desire to dust off that manuscript and give it a fresh start.
